2. Week
Across the Sundgau, lowest rolling hills between Germany and France to the French and Swiss Jura Mountains. The Franche Montagne, lake Neuchatel and Mourat in French speaking Switzerland, Fribourg and the Lake Gruyères, Gstaad, the Simmental, Lake Thun, the Emmental and Entlebuch, all Swiss milk, cows, chocolate and honey country. To lake Lake Lucerne, Altdorf, and Andermatt, centre of Switzerland.
We cycle along the most northern hills of the Jura Mountains crossing the border between France and Switzerland several times to reach Puntrut/Porrentruy. A steep up-down-up to St.Ursanne, the river Doubs and to the meadows full of horses in the Franche Montagne leads us to Saignelégier and the French speaking part of Switzerland. Before the downhill to the lakes Neuchâtel and Morat we have to climb to the Vue des Alpes . Fribourg is a town where French and German is spoken and famous for it's university and catholic schools. On the way to Gruyères and Molésan we enter the milk, cheese and honey regions towards Gstaad and the Alps. We cross the Jaunpass to the Simmental and it's famous cows, visit Thun and cycle in the Entlebuch to hear the bells of the brown cows and in the Emmental we will taste the famous cheese on the spot.
In Sörenberg the cable car to the Brienzer Rothorn, lifts you to a spectacular view of the Jungfrau-Mönch and Eiger and if you rent a mountain bike the down hill to Sörenberg gets to your nerves. On a scenic road, the "Panorama Road" we will cycle to the Lake Sarnen and the Lake Lucerne which we cross by steam boat or ferry to Schwyz and Altdorf. The easy way to Andermatt leads through the Schöllenen Gorge which gives you time to take the cable train to the Gemsstock. The long way is across the Sustenpass, Grimselpass and Furkapass to Andermatt.

Ferette - La Ferrière
